Know what these are? I do. My mom collects them. It's something she came by honestly though - because my grandparents collect them too. They're antiques. People (the government? I'm not sure who exactly did this really) used to use these to protect the nubbin things on telephone poles. (You can tell I'm an expert on this subject, can't you?)
My grandpa would probably be upset with me for this. He HATES these bugs and I not only took this picture in his garden, I also didn't kill the bug when I was done. I agree with him, they're obnoxious as hell, but it's so cute! Lookit him! He's adorable.
There are only two of them and they aren't red. But all the same. I really like hot air balloons - seeing them from the ground anyway; I've never been in one. They seem very peaceful. From the ground. Not a fan of heights, me.
I've always had a hard time narrowing down my "favorite" things. Even as a small child I had four different favorite colors. So I'll simply try to keep my favorites here updated to what I'm currently watching, listening to, reading, etc. and how I'm feeling about it.
Current Book: In non-fiction I'm reading "Positivity" by Barbara L. Fredrickson. In Fiction I'm reading "Doomsday Book" by Connie Wills
Current Movie: It's baseball season so I'm going through all those standards - The Sandlot, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, The Natural, A League of Their Own... and so on and so forth. 42 will definite be added to that list when it's released for home viewing.
Current Music: I've been listening to an awful lot of Fleet Foxes lately.
